Join The Center for the Study of Cuban Culture + Economy in Cuba to participate in a hands-on workshop about revitalization, design & sustainability practices! Cuban bamboo is resilient, as are the people. We join Cuban hosts engineer Carlos Martínez and & artist Gisela R. Vilaboy, in their interdisciplinary workshop in Havana’s Chinatown to explore the uses of bamboo and re-imagining revitalization. The bamboo workshop explores how to satisfy household-product needs for seniors, toddlers, and others. The emphasis is on discovery & creativity to meet local needs with local solutions.
